At Lakers FC, our weather guidelines are aligned with best practices recommended by USSF, as well as local league standards including YSSL and IWSL. All decisions related to weather and gameplay adjustments are made at the discretion of the Lakers FC Tournament Committee, which includes the Tournament Director, Lakers FC staff, and certified athletic training personnel.

Our goal is to provide a fun, safe, and competitive environment for all teams, while ensuring players can enjoy quality matches throughout the weekend. All games are scheduled to be played on state-of-the-art artificial turf fields—meaning no rainouts. However, stoppages may still occur in the event of hazardous conditions such as lightning, thunder, or extreme temperatures.

Tournament weather updates will be communicated via email and text message through your GotSport account. Please ensure your contact information is up to date.

Weather-Related Adjustments May Include:

• Games may be delayed, shortened, or rescheduled to a later time or date during the tournament weekend.

• Games that have reached or passed halftime may be considered final if weather forces a stoppage.

• For U14 and younger age groups, adjustments or cancellations may occur if the expected game-time temperature is 18°F or below (including windchill).

• For U15 and older age groups, adjustments or cancellations may occur if the expected game-time temperature is 14°F or below (including windchill).

• Any additional changes to the schedule, as deemed necessary by the Tournament Committee, will be communicated as early as possible to all teams involved.
